Throughout the year, the WSPA/Tracy Historical Museum conducts periodic History Seminars and special programs around local history subjects or topics of general historical interest.
Past History Seminars have included: History of Mexican Settlement in Tracy’s South Side, Stories from “Being Black in Tracy”, Tracy Before the Railroads, History of the Delta Water Problems, and Indigenous Peoples of the San Joaquin.
Special programs have included: film presentation “The Damnedest Finest Ruins”, History Day at the Museum, and Historic Downtown and Bowtie Rail Yard walking tours.
The WSPA and Tracy Historical Museum hold an annual holiday open house at the museum in December, which is also the installation of officers. And in March the group holds its’ annual Corned Beef and Cabbage fundraiser around St. Patrick’s Day. Both events provide great food and good company.
